Umpiring is a hard job. Whether your call is right or wrong, half the field (and the stands) are going to be unhappy. That's why umpires need to ensure as much as possible, that they are knowledgeable and willing to make the call. In this baseball video series, Umpire Joe Willis discusses the responsibilities of the plate umpire and demonstrates umpire positions based on the field action.
